What makes this more strange, as the title says, is he signaled very time.

Redditor “why-is-it-so-hard” shared an extremely frustrating dash cam video earlier yesterday (July 8, 2020) showing him trying to get around an SUV driving in the slow lane somewhere in Gippsland, Victoria. This was irksome to the young P-Plater driver as any major traffic infraction means a license suspension for several months.

Check out the frustrating video below.

at least he indicated? going 110km/h- only stopped when i pointed at my dash cam from r/IdiotsInCars

Most Australian highways, like this one, have zoned speed limits of 110-130 KMH. As the title says, this P-Plater was already travelling at the speed limit as he made his passing attempt.

As you can see in the dash cam video, he changes lanes an astonishing six times.

With little to no traffic in the red SUVs driver’s way, there was no excuse not to let him by.

As several pointed out in the comments, this red SUV driver was being a total p***k, allowing someone to pass him somehow being a blow to his fragile ego.

According to OP,

Yes I was passing a truck his mate, not him, was behind me I was doing the speed limit and he was riding up my ass and I didn’t move out of his way fast enough. His mate threw his hands around and flashed his lights but drove off when I moved back into the left lane.

This dude then was in front of me for another five minutes passing in the right lane a bit slow but I’m not going to throw a tantrum about it when there was space to pass I moved into the left lane and that’s where this video started.

For my American readers, this level of road rage is rather tame for what goes down here. This is casual, everyday type of road rage that even happens on city streets between stop lights. I can easily imagine the level of craziness ratcheting up several levels as one driver goes out of his way to “prove his point.”

There is, however, a universal hatred among some drivers that goes beyond borders that won’t allow them to get passed by seemingly lesser drivers or vehicles.

Not letting someone pass somehow asserts some weird, psychological dominance over someone else.

Pulling off stunts like this while driving can get dangerous, especially when more traffic is involved and tempers fly.

It’s hard to do but making it a habit to avoid road rage, slow down, and avoid these angry drivers is the best policy.
