Yes, Koenigsegg has its own energy drink but, Americans may find it near impossible to buy a can
Earlier this week, Swedish Hypercar maker Koenigsegg unveiled a prototype and photos of its first electric motor dubbed the Quark. To showcase how tiny their e-motor is, they placed a 330 ml (12 oz) can of Koenigsegg-branded ‘Clean Drink’ Energy drink next to it.
As cool as their e-motor was, many car enthusiasts wanted to know more about their energy drink. It was the first time a lot of people saw this Koenigsegg drink and, as the pool of hypercar buyers is tiny, it’s probably the only Koenigsegg anything anyone can afford.
Yes, Koenigsegg has its own energy drink….partnership. In 2020, Koenigsegg partnered with Clean Drink to produce a lemon and elderberry-flavored Clean drink that was light on caffeine. The can featured a black and yellow design with Koenigsegg’s iconic ghost logo.
“The lemon and elderberry-flavored energy drink from Clean Drink and Koenigsegg is due to be available from all of the beverage brand’s Swedish stores and stockists soon,” Stack3ed wrote.
I wondered, like many Americans, if I can buy a can of Koenigsegg Clean Drink, green powered edition for myself.
Unfortunately, since Koengsegg’s Clean Drink drop is more of a Swedish collab, they, as Stack3ed mentions, only released the drink in Sweden. You can’t buy Koenigsegg Clean drink in the United States.
That’s not to say it’s impossible.
I’ve already looked on Tradera (AKA Swedish e-bay,) and couldn’t find a can. Knock yourself out and search again if you don’t believe me, you might have better luck!
If you have a Swedish friend, asking them if they’re still available at their local 7-11 equivalent and getting them to ship a can to you is one strategy.
If you don’t know any Swedes, asking or DM’ing a stranger on /r/Sweden or another Swedish message board might be an option.
Finally, if you’re hellbent on finding a can, calling up the nearest Koenigsegg dealership and asking them if they can help you out isn’t so farfetched.
This Koenigsegg dealership in Newport Beach probably isn’t busy, they don’t even have any Koenigseggs in their inventory. They might have a can or two lying around.
Keep in mind it’s been two years since their collab dropped which means they probably aren’t being made, making finding a can of Koenigsegg Clean drink that much harder.
And, when you eventually can’t find one, you can drink vicariously through this Youtuber.
