“That’s the worst scenario,” the Acura salesman shouted.

An Acura dealership in Tempe will re-evaluate its insurance policy in regards to its palm trees as a shocking video shows one of its palm trees succumbing to high winds, falling onto three SUVs causing thousands of dollars in damage.

The accident happened two days ago on July 31, 2022.

Check out the video for yourself below.

According to KTAR News, the Grand Canyon state has been seeing a historic, monsoon-like weather system the past couple of days bringing rain and, as this video shows, strong winds.

Posts on Twitter show photos and videos of a dust storm, AKA a haboob, sweeping through the Tempe area the weekend that the above video was recorded.

Acura of Tempe happens to have tall palm trees in front of its dealership and, when the winds got too high, simple physics took over as the height of the palms simply multiplied the force the winds exerted.

Although this is an unfortunate headache for the dealership, as many people pointed out in the comments, this is far from the worst that could’ve happened.

“LOL, no darling, that’s far from the worst scenario!,” commented Laurie Pierce-Pryor. “Your all alive and well, think about that!”

“Well it wasn’t the worst thing that could have happened,” Vanessa Birts added. “It could have fallen on humans.”

A handful of people pointed out the futility of running towards the falling palm.

“The guy running out there like he was going to catch it or something!” Cindy Strudwick Clayton commented.

Here are photos of the aftermath.

The amount of damage caused by a falling palm very well might end up, at least, totaling the Lexus.

A scary situation, for sure.

It’s worth mentioning that if you face a similar situation in life, see a falling palm tree near you, it would probably behoove you to make a split second decision to determine where the palm is falling, and then to run as far away from the falling palm as you can.
