It was a hit-and-run that turned into another hit-and-run and another hit.
Update: January 24, 2023 – A previous version of this blog post alleged @JayElizabethhh, the person who originally posted the Instagram story is actually the Fiat 500 driver. She is not. Elizabeth has reached out to me and explained she found the video on TikTok and posted it on her own Instagram as a joke.
“I haven’t got a clue who this girl is. I believe this girl should be prosecuted and get what she deserves, and I do not condone the way she acted in any way,” Elizabeth says.
“The girl driving seems to be from East London. I do not live in London and don’t (even) drive.”
@JayElizabethhh is not the driver, and please don’t attempt to DM or contact Elizabeth regarding the video.

A disturbing Instagram story video posted by Reddit user /u/Robert935 on the /r/idiotsincars subreddit shows a driver being filmed by a passenger as she talks to a moped driver she allegedly hit while driving under the influence.
To make matters worse, she attempts a hit-and-run, resulting in her possibly crashing into another car before T-boning a car at the next intersection.

She’s driving a Fiat 500.
“You’re not in the cycle lane,” the driver states to the moped rider.
“What do you mean cycle lane,” the moped rider replies. “You are at fault and you are accusing me?”
After she insults the moped rider’s English and the moped driver asks to see her ID, you can hear whoever’s riding shotgun and holding her phone to, “duck out, please (AKA leave.)”
She agrees, and we can almost see the gears in her head start to turn as she concocts her next harebrained move.
She then decides to commit hit-and-run and drives off, weaving through traffic.
We see her squeeze through a hole in traffic in front of a Range Rover Evoque that looks too small for her Fiat, and it honestly sounds like she clips the Evoque’s front as she overtakes.
She then jumps a curve, blindly accelerates forward, and T-bones a car making a right-hand turn through the intersection.
Googling around, and I couldn’t find any search results or news stories that follows up on this truly bizarre video.
Drunk driving penalties in the UK include,
- 3 months’ imprisonment
- up to £2,500 fine
- a possible driving ban
Corroborating that list of penalties is this reply from a UK redditor.
If you read through the Reddit comments, people are absolutely livid at this type of behavior, and rightfully so.
This lady’s actions could’ve had far more deadly consequences, and I hope she was charged to the fullest extent of the law.
