“Toddler tantrum doing the most for the camera.”

An appalling video shot earlier this year in September is getting a lot of renewed attention on the /r/therewasanattempt subreddit.

Video submitted to Reddit from TikTok user @Sammi_Sweet13 shows the terrifying moments in Whittier, CA when a woman in a Hyundai, supposedly ticked off that she was honked at, approaches Sammi’s car before punching and damaging the car’s exterior in a fit of road rage gone too far.

I stay minding my business and then some crackhead shit happens ??‍♀️? I was not in the wrong btw as you can see I’m legit just sitting there lol

The disturbing incident went down at the intersection of Lambert Rd and Greenleaf Ave,

Viewed over 6.7 million times as of today, Sammi eventually published a follow-up explaining what set this woman off and, according to her, it wasn’t much.

@sammi_sweet13 Here’s what happened before the video. And yes sorry I’m so awkward I hate talking in videos.??‍♀️ #californialife ♬ original sound – Sammi_sweet13

“We’re at the light, it’s not a protected turn light. My Dad’s driving, I’m in the passenger seat. We’re at the light, the light turns red (I guess she means green,) she doesn’t go, my Dad honks the horn at her, looks at her and signals, “Why didn’t you go?”

“And, I guess that’s what set her off because that’s when she started doing that (the attacking) and started looking at me. I guess she didn’t like me, I’m not sure why.

“I’m just sitting there in shock, like, bro, it’s 100 degrees outside.”

As this video shows, this unhinged, tattooed woman crawls out of her Hyundai Tucson (8KTW071) and jumps on, punches, and attempts to break the windows of Sammi’s car.

Those Toyota mirrors are strong as a Black Friday shopper holding on to the last 65″ TV at WalMart because, try as she might, the road rager could not break those mirrors off.

Toyota side mirrors are strong a.f.

If that was honestly what ticked this woman off, that’s surprising to say the least.

It’s a weird time we’re living in and, with the state of the economy and all, people are on edge. We just don’t know what people are going through.

That honk can be the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Regardless, there’s no excuse to throw that level of a property-damaging tantrum; we live in a society, people.

And it goes both ways, you don’t know if the person you’re about to have an epic rager on is just as, if not even MORE crazy.

The news is filled with such unfortunate stories.

I hate to say it but, in this day and age, if you’re in the habit of giving a friendly honk at someone stopped at a green light when they really should be going, give them the benefit of the doubt and offer them an extra second before you honk.

I guess it’s too much to expect people to be paying attention at lights, ready to go within a reasonable time anymore.

God forbid you have to honk to wake people up from your smartphone-induced daydreams.
