A cautionary tale, if you’re going to hit those switches, make sure you can see what’s in front of you.

A showboating lowrider owner is immediately regretting his decision to hit those switches in front of tourists in Times Square as eyewitness video uploaded to TikTok shows the three-wheeling lowrider driving into the driver’s side fender and over the hood of a Nissan Altima, all while a NYPD cop watched from the sidewalk.

Check out the video from TikTok via @SalinasRacing on Instagram below.

The accident happened right in the heart of Times Square (7th Ave and 44th St,) smack dab in the hustle and bustle of Midtown Manhattan.

@SolGomez131, like so many tourists, whipped out his smartphone to film a lowrider doing what it does best, flexing its hydraulics for whomever, wherever.

Spurred on by the sights, sounds, where he was, and over a dozen phones pointed at his primer ride, who could blame this guy for wanting to show off.

Par for the course for drivers in New York, unbeknownst to the lowrider driver, several cars enter the intersection well into a yellow light and, although he now has a green light, cars, including our Nissan Altima, are stopped blocking his way.

The problem is, tilted on three wheels, he can’t see what’s going on in front of him.

All while this is going on, there’s a group NYPD cops watching it all unfold.

A NYPD cop and onlooker turn to look at a lowrider and Altima after the lowrider, on three wheels, crashes into the stopped Nissan.

In the wrong place at the wrong time, the Nissan Altima driver sees the lowrider ala hungry, hungry hippo, drive towards, and onto their car.

Strangely enough, nary a horn beep can be heard.

If it’s attention this guy wanted, the sound of crunching metal as he drives off the Altima brings a chorus of groans as the mob of pedestrians piles onto this guy’s deserved embarrassment.

Those NYPD police officers? They’re calmly watching this all unfold; I’m sure they’ve seen crazier on their beat.

A mob of pedestrians rush towards the scene of the lowrider crash as the group of cops, unfazed, observe from a distance.

It was such a low-speed crash and both cars are honestly heaps, that it wouldn’t make sense to involve insurance (assuming the lowrider driver has any.)

An easy thou-y for a new hood, fender, and paint should sort that Altima right out.
