“If the driver of the Ranger Rover paid attention, this would’ve been completely avoidable.”

Presumed Hall County, GA resident and Redditor /u/REARBRA shared shocking dashcam footage from his dad’s 2021 Ford F-250 6.7L PowerStroke Tremor showing the hare brained moment a driver in a Ranger Rover took their attention away from the road mid-turn and clipped’s OP’s Dad’s F-250, causing him to roll over.

Check out the dashcam footage for yourself below.

This incident took place on the 6500 block of McEver Rd. in Flowery Branch, GA (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

It’s worth noting that the dashcam footage and what Google Maps shows are drastically different as the area’s been developed, as of late, for commercial purposes.

As OP’s dashcam footage shows, his Dad is driving comfortably on McEver Rd in an area known for driver’s spinning out.

The Google Maps shows a guard rail in that area meant to catch drivers going too fast, but that’s since been removed, I assume, for the time being.

Mid-turn, we see a driver in a Range Rover drift into OP’s Dad’s lane, clipping one of the F-250’s tires.

It looks like the F-250 rolled once before landing on its side.

“That driver hit his left rear tire head on, which caused it to roll. It was a stock height 250 Tremor so it does sit a bit high.”

“The Rover proceeded to smash another truck behind him.”

For those who wanted to see more, OP was sure to upload other photos and video of the aftermath.

You’ll be glad to know that OP’s Dad and all involved parties seem to be A-OK, although the same thing can’t be said for the truck.

“He’s doing good, just a little sore. He was pretty heartbroken to see his truck go though.”

“Everyone got out with very minor injuries. Another truck behind my fathers got hit head on, but everyone involved is okay.”

“(The accident) completely sheared the rear axle and threw the drive shaft out about 20 feet from the truck. It was a crazy scene to roll up to after I got the SOS message.”

Many in the comments dog piled on OP’s Dad for choosing a truck with such a high center of gravity, a contributing factor in this roll over.

It’s worth noting that, according to OP,

“He uses his truck to tow and haul s*** regularly, which is why he bought it in the first place. Say and think what you want to, at the end of the day, all that matters to me is that he’s in good condition as of now and that the cab of that truck kept him safe.”

We’re all just glad OP’s Dad and all involved parties made it out OK.

Hopefully this serves as yet another reminder to drivers, they can’t slack off behind the wheel, even for a moment.

Although everyone made it out OK, that Range Rover driver caused an insurance headache for everyone’s insurance as well as a P.I.T.A. it will be to replace the likely totaled vehicles.

Also, yet another data point to get yourself a dashcam if you haven’t already.

  1. This is in our neck of the woods. I can’t believe no one was severely injured! This is a valuable lesson for everyone who sees these types of accidents captured on dash cam. You can warn people, but when they see it they believe it! Thanks for posting, I will share.
