Unfortunately, this behavior is typical with drivers who own these types of Japanese hot rods.

Presumed new-to-the-area Albuquerque resident and Redditor /u/Adaur981 shared dashcam footage to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing some par-for-the-course driving done by this Infiniti G35 driver in Rio Ranch, NM.

Check out /u/Adaur981’s dashcam footage below.

[OC] Are all Infiniti drivers like this? or is this just an Albuquerque thing? or both?
byu/Adaur981 inIdiotsInCars

The dangerous lane change maneuvers happened on the 0 block of Unser Blvd NE in Rio Rancho, NM (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

For the record, the license plate of that G35 appears to read RSR 681.

As OP’s dashcam footage shows, OP is driving along this two-lane stretch of Unser Blvd NE at a reasonable 43 MPH.

The speed limit in this area is just 40 MPH.

All of a sudden, a Copper Pearl Infiniti G35 coupe dangerously changes lane in front of OP between OP’s car and a Ford F-150 through a gap that was growing increasingly smaller.

The G35 just about squeezed through, navigating a gap slightly larger than their car.

The G35 then chains together another equally bad lane change in between a Nissan Rogue and Ford Focus sedan perpendicular to each other, just like he did moments before.

“F*** ***,” OP exclaims, and rightfully so.

“That driver thinks he has skill, but only has luck,” /u/Area51Resident commented.

“Infiniti is just an overpriced Nissan, so this behavior checks out,” /u/Hcavok replied.

/u/Hcvaok is probably referring to what’s known as Big Altima Energy.

“Looks like the same p*** (rhymes with boo-tow) tweaker who almost took me out on Unser the other day,” /u/gangstersaurusrex corroborates.

As /u/Area51Resident hinted at, a big reason drivers take enormous risks like this unnecessarily is they’ve been lucky, thus far.

The surrounding drivers are driving predictably (to a point) around them, affording them the “freedom” to act like a complete hoon.

But, like all things luck related, it runs out.

That’s why, as stated in blog posts like this multiple times, it’s paramount to drive defensively and to keep your wits about you behind the wheel at all times.

And, when they do mess up, and you find yourself unfortunately involved, you’ve got the dashcam footage as evidence, right?

Yeah, get yourself a dashcam ASAP if you already haven’t.
