This Polish-speaking dashcam owner in Texas almost T-boned a utility trailer-towing driver on Gateway N Blvd.
Texan and Redditor /u/K5_Amusement_Rides shared frustrating dashcam footage from El Paso from earlier this August (August 6, 2024) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a driver in a Ford F-150 towing a utility trailer reckless pull-out onto Gateway N Blvd without yielding to oncoming traffic.
Check out this utility trailer-towing driver’s near-t-bone accident play out below. The video contains swearing in Polish, hence the content warning.

The incident happened in the 1100 block of Gateway N Blvd in El Paso, TX just before it transitions to the Patriot Freeway (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As OP’s dashcam footage shows, OP is driving in a dedicated right-turn-only lane.
As he approaches a driveway to Church’s Texas Chicken (Temporarily Closed,) a driver in a Ford F-150 towing a utility trailer fails to yield the right of way and bolts out onto Gateway N Blvd, directly in the path of OP.
OP is forced to slam on his brakes to avoid T-boning the truck.
We can hear OP shouting out various expletives in Polish.
“You best believe I just watched this because it said Polish swearing lol,” /u/davidfavorite admitted.
“Some people (trailer pullers) really be counting on others for their personal safety. And/or are just simply a**hats,” /u/a_Vertigo_guy commented.
“I hate it when a driver sees someone in OP’s position and still goes because ‘OP has time to slow down’. It’s a classic entitlement mindset. The whole point is that it doesn’t matter if the driver in OP’s position had time to slow down. They shouldn’t have to in the first place. If they do, it means the other driver is cutting them off, and they think it’s ok because they have the aforementioned entitlement mindset that informs the rest of their decision-making process,” /u/Appa-ate-momo thoughtfully wrote out.
In Texas, failing to yield your right of way leaving a driveway is a violation of § 545.155 and, depending on the severity of the violation (if your negligence causes an accident or not) base fines are between $214- $309 before fees.
