A jerk in a lifted diesel recklessly pulled out into traffic on Coit before running a red light while turning left.
Texan and Redditor /u/ratata_hoe shared headshaking dashcam footage from Far North, Dallas, earlier last week (Nov 5, 2024). The footage shows a reckless driver in a lifted Chevrolet Silverado Duramax pulling out into traffic and rolling coal, only to run a red light while making a left turn.
Check out his dashcam footage below.
[OC] Driver pulls out in front of traffic then runs red light

The incident happened at the intersection of W Spring Valley Rd. and Coit Rd. in the Far North neighborhood of Dallas, TX (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As /u/ratata_hoe’s dashcam footage shows, he’s stopped on Coit Rd. when his rearview camera spots a driver in a lifted Silverado Duramax punch it out into traffic off of Payton Dr.
The driver in the Duramax immediately swings left, accelerates while rolling coal into the intersection, and blatantly runs a deep yellow that soon turned to a red light.
Since it just turned red, cross traffic with the right of way, fortunately, didn’t have the chance to enter the intersection, a fact that Silverado driver probably counted on.
Regardless, yellow means prepare to stop or stop, something that Silverado driver didn’t plan on doing.
“How are they going to run the red light if they weren’t in front,” /u/Sketch2029 sarcastically commented.
“Explosive diarrhea,” /u/Head_Acanthaceae_766 opined.
“Just pickup truck things,” /u/KaJuNator added.
In Dallas, red light runners are subject to a fine of up to $296.10.
Nowadays, a green light doesn’t mean immediately going.
Because of the prevalence of bad drivers like the Duramax Silverado driver, it’s best to take a beat and to look before entering an intersection even when you have the right of way.
