A driver in a Cadillac SUV in Levittown made an illegal u-turn, almost got hit, and blamed his ineptitude on the dashcam owner.

Presumed New York resident and Redditor /u/InD3btToEarth shared headshaking dashcam footage from Levittown from earlier last week (Nov 11, 2024) showing a driver in a white Cadillac SUV making an illegal U-turn onto NY-106, almost getting hit by a dashcam owner with the right of way, and then road raging and following the dashcam owner until he proactively got himself out of the situation.

Check out the dashcam footage for yourself below.

[OC] Driver makes an illegal u-turn and almost hits me. Proceeds to threaten and blame me for it.

The incident happened at the intersection of Newbridge Rd. and NY-106 (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

In his footage, a driver in a white Cadillac XT6 can be seen making an illegal U-turn onto NY-106.

As this screenshot of the bird’s eye view of the area shows, the Cadillac driver has a no U-turn sign visible in front of him.

The driver in the white Cadillac was prohibited from making a U-turn there. There’s even a sign telling him not to. And in the red box is where OP was stopped .

Where OP was stopped and now with the green light, he and other traffic have the right of way.

It’s also why there’s a no U-turn sign to begin with.

The driver in the Cadillac XT6 nearly hits OP and then proceeds to yell at him, blaming him for “cutting him off” despite his illegal maneuver.

The driver in the white Cadillac road rages at OP for almost getting hit.

OP continues and happens to be headed in the same general direction as the now-road rager.

OP notices that the road rager is attempting to confront him again.

“I noticed he is not driving away and is slowing down. I have my toddler in the car so, at this point, I call 911 fearing for your safety,” OP captions his video.

He observes the road rager drive away and proceeds to hang up on her call. Her relief is short-lived as she sees the driver slowing down, again.

He then takes matters into his own hands and proactively gets out of there.

OP escapes from the situation.

“I still see him purposefully driving slow so I decided to pull into the lot here and wait for him to go out of view. I end up making a U-turn further down the road and out of his view and go a different way.”

“These types of people are the ones to do some seriously dumb s***, Definitely should’ve stayed on the call with the dispatcher, it’s always best to stay with the dispatcher until they say otherwise. That’s some scary s***tho and you made the best call to get off the road, I wish you the best of luck,” /u/InterGluteal_Crease commented.

“I literally had this same exact thing happen yesterday. It’s like people don’t understand U-Turns almost never have right of way,” /u/syricon added.

“You handled that situation perfectly. If only more people acted like adults in these types of situations,” /u/thatlivewire complimented OP.

Except for hanging up on the dispatcher prematurely, /u/InD3btToEarth handled this stressful situation with flying colors.

It’s always a best practice to avoid a road rager once they get started and are persistent enough to attempt to follow you.

Who knows what that Cadillac driver’s intentions were after the fact?
