Attleboro commuter and Redditor /u/RentalBrain shared some local footage from earlier in January (Jan 21, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a driver in a Jeep Wagoneer ignoring signage prohibiting left turns onto a one-way street, realizing their mistake and quickly self-correcting.

Check out /u/RentalBrain’s dashcam footage below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened at the intersection of Union St. and Park St. (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As OP’s dashcam footage shows, he makes a gentle sweeper onto Park St, a one-way street.

Up ahead, you can see the headlights of a driver in a Jeep Wagoneer entering Park St going the wrong direction.

Signage from the other side of Park St., Union St., and Pleasant St. strictly prohibits entering and turning into Park St.

Signage on Union St. prohibiting drivers from turning left onto Park.

This driver, however, either is confused or refuses to acknowledge the signage.

Even a pedestrian walking across Park finds the Wagoneer driver’s actions befuddling.

Thankfully, the driver realizes their mistake and pulls a U-turn headed the right direction.

“Someone turned the wrong way into a one-way street. It’s dumb but potentially easy enough to do if you aren’t familiar with an area and the signage is strange,” /u/LasersTheyWork commented.

“Attleboro? Like Taunton, some really silly traffic areas. Even local can screw this up,” /u/WharfRat80s added.

“As a Rhode Island driver, all I can say is at least it was someone from New Hampshire,” Atlantic Coaster /u/wyzapped replied.

It appears driving on the wrong side of the road in Massachusetts carries a fine of at least $50 before fees.
