A driver in a Toyota Tundra either didn’t see the stop sign or ignored it completely. Regardless, that bonehead move almost caused a collision.

Orangeburg commuter and Redditor /u/ChatWithKat4 shared frustrating dashcam footage from earlier last month (Mar 31, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a driver blow through a stop sign off the Palisades Interstate Parkway, almost getting into an accident with OP had they not been paying attention.

Check out the dashcam footage embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened right after the intersection with State Route 303 (NY-303) and the Palisades Interstate Parkway (Exact location on Google Maps linked here).

As OP’s dashcam footage shows, they’re driving along NY-303, just about to drive by this PIP offramp.

As OP approaches the offramp, a driver in a blue Toyota Tundra rips through the stop sign without even slowing.

If that wasn’t bad enough, instead of getting up to speed after blowing the stop sign, the Tundra driver slows, causing OP to slam on their brakes to avoid rear-ending the doofus.

It’s hard to see in the video, but according to OP, the Tundra driver apparently gives OP the bird, despite being in the wrong.

Typical, really.

Thankfully, OP is driving defensively, slows down enough, and avoids a collision.

“Big pickup truck energy at its finest,” reads the top comment from /u/Libster1986.

“This is obviously a doctor on the way to perform a life or death surgery. /s,” /u/luckystrike_bh sarcastically put it.

“Comin’ off the Palisades South, here!!,” local /u/HiFiGuy197 added.

“tbh, when I stop, I always feel like I’m gonna get rear-ended there.”

“Yes, I do stop there 100 percent of the time.”

With that last comment, it seems like this offramp is badly designed to begin with.

That being said, not stopping isn’t the move here.

Stop sign violations in New York are subject to three points on their record and a base fine of $150.
