The dashcam owner witnessed the hit-and-run from across the street.
Seattle area driver and Redditor /u/thatboarder_guy shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier last week (June 10, 2025) to the /r/Dashcam subreddit showing a driver in a left turn only lane decide to make a right, across multiple lanes, only to end up clipping and severely t-boning a car with the right of way.
Check out the dashcam video below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incident happened at the intersection of 16th Ave and SW 107th St. in White Center (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam footage shows, OP is stopped on 16th Ave waiting to turn left.
In front of him, we can see parallel traffic with the right-of-way.
In the middle, a driver in what looks like a Grey colored Hyundai can be seen exiting the driveway from Super Saver Foods and entering the left turn-only lane with his signal on to turn right.
You’d think he’s trying to enter the next lane to go straight, but instead of that, they decide they’re going to attempt a complete right turn across two lanes of traffic.
The smooth brain doesn’t see a driver in a white Dodge Avenger with the right of way in the lane next to them and ends up clipping them, practically t-boning them, causing thousands of dollars in damage.

Instead of stopping like you’re supposed to, the driver in the Hyundai completes their turn and speeds off, completing their hit-and-run.
“Classic White Center shenanigans ☹️,” the top comment from /u/astronut_guy reads.
“They just kept going as if nothing happened,” /u/sociallyawkwardpotate added.
“I woulda chased the guy and at least got the plate,” /u/Mr_McMuffin_Jr replied.
In Seattle, turning improperly, from a left-turn-only lane into a right-turn across lanes, violates Seattle Municipal Code 11.40.040 (“Improper turn”). The base penalty is $30 (plus court/platform fees)
However, because it’s also a violation of state law (RCW 46.61.290), it could be cited under state statute, which carries a higher base fine, typically $48.
