This Civic driver overshot a right turn and almost plowed into this dashcam owner. DUI?
Maricopa County commuter and Redditor /u/AZIPA89 shared headshaking dashcam footage from this busy Glendale intersection from earlier in March (Mar 9, 2026) to the /r/dashcam subreddit showing an erratic and overzealous driver entering a turn way too fast causing them to overshoot into opposing traffic and over a curb before continuing on their merry way.
Check out the embarrassing right turn in the dashcam video below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incident happened at the intersection of W Grovers Ave & 43rd Ave in Glendale (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is headed west on Grovers, stopped at the aforementioned intersection.
Suddenly, a driver in a white Honda Civic on 43rd Ave with the right of way can be seen making a right turn, except they’ve entered the corner way too fast, causing them to understeer instead of turning.
Thankfully, despite entering into opposing traffic, no one’s slotted next to OP into the bike lane.
The Civic “completes” their turn against opposing traffic, hopping a curb in the process.
The rear view shows the Civic eventually making its way to the right side of traffic before continuing.

“Good lord, the things people are willing to do (like risk lives) to avoid a minor inconvenience like taking the next turn and double back,” the top comment from /u/LifeIsSweetSoAmI reads.
“Probably under the influence,” /u/my45acp1911 infers, and probably rightfully so.
“A bad driver never misses his exit/turn,” /u/daynighttrade suggests, commenting what seems to be an often cited law for bad drivers.
In Arizona, overshooting a right turn into the wrong lanes counts as an improper turn under state law. A first offense usually carries a $150–$200 fine and 3 points on your driving record. Penalties can increase if the maneuver causes a crash or crosses double lines.
