This driver approached the intersection at 33 & 392 facing a stop sign, blew right through it, and almost caused their own T-bone accident.

Weld County-area driver and Redditor /u/Seamus205 shared a harrowing incident from his dashcam from earlier in April (Apr 29, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing an idiot driver blow past this stop sign at a busy Greely intersection, almost causing their own T-Bone accident had OP not swerved out of the way.

Unfortunatly, this intersection was where two people lost their lives in December in a single vehicle accident after they blew past the stop sign and lost control.

Check out the near miss in the dashcam video below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened at the intersection of CO-392 and CR-33 (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is heading eastbound on CO-392 towards the aforementioned intersection with CR-33/ N 47th Ave.

OP admits he was speeding, going 66 MPH when the speed limit in that area is just 55 MPH.

“I acknowledge I was going a little fast…,” the first half of the thread title reads.

As he approaches the intersection, a driver in a dark silver Ford F-150 can be seen approaching the intersection with CO-392 and, instead of stopping, as they’re facing a stop sign, they roll right through despite OP barreling towards him at 66 MPH.

With no time to stop, OP slows as best he can to mitigate the force from a crash and swerves to the right.

Thankfully, the F-150 driver didn’t stop, and OP’s reaction pays off, him avoiding a T-bone by what looks like mere inches.

“Yes, I was going 66 in a 55. Some of these country roads around here are 65, some are 55; I wasn’t paying close enough attention. Not an excuse, just an explanation. Even so, that truck didn’t even stop or look at that stop sign; he just blindly sent it,” OP further clarified in the comments.

“Didn’t pause at the stop sign or even look around,” the top comment from /u/Chary-Ka reads.

“Excellent job, you aimed for the rear, not the front, which saved both of you from a horrific T-Bone,” /u/gh0ul pointed out.

In Greeley, CO (and generally under Colorado law), blowing through a stop sign is a traffic infraction that typically results in a fine and 4 points on your driving record. If the maneuver creates a serious near-collision or is deemed careless driving, it can be bumped up to a higher violation with steeper penalties. Repeated or severe offenses can also lead to license suspension depending on accumulated points.
