This speeding Mercedes driver wasn’t smart enough to check his rearview mirror for police before their high-speed hijinks.

Adams County driver and Redditor /u/SdVeau shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier in May (May 3, 2026) to the /r/ConvenientCop subreddit showing a speeding, no signal lane changing Mercedes driver get instant justice at the hands of Northglenn police after their on-road shenanigans made them stick out like a sore thumb.

Check out the dashcam footage of it all playing out in the video embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened just after the intersection of Muriel Dr with Washington St. (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is headed westbound on Muriel Dr past the aforementioned intersection, headed towards Grant Dr.

His dashcam shows him passing a 40 MPH speed limit sign while he’s going 41 MPH so, when a Mercedes driver up ahead is observed overtaking another driver up ahead without signaling, on top of an unsafe lane change, they were most certainly speeding.

They failed to see if anyone was clocking his driving shenanigans because shortly after cutting the other driver off, a Northglenn officer in their interceptor flies by OP on his way to pull the offending driver over.

“Always gotta do the Explorer/Charger check. Rookie mistake,” the top comment from /u/DupaGoblin reads.

“The more amazing part of this video is that the cop used his turn signal. Can’t remember the last time I saw that happening in the real world,” /u/vcdrny pointed out.

“I don’t think I’ve ever watched a dash cam video and said “damn that’s such a cool song!”, But it’s fitting for this video,” /u/ChimpChompp added.

“You Can’t Hide by Ck9c and Irgendwie, Irgendwo, Irgendwann by Nena were the two tracks in there,” OP replied.

In Northglenn, Colorado, an unsafe lane change without signaling is typically a Class A traffic infraction, with fines commonly ranging around $80–$150 plus surcharges depending on court costs. If speeding is added on top, that can increase the total penalty significantly, with speeding fines in Colorado generally starting around $30+ and rising quickly with speed over the limit, plus potential points. The unsafe lane change and speeding can also result in 3–4 points total on your driving record, depending on how each violation is cited.
