6 cars were caught on dashcam at this heavily trafficked South Hill intersection running a red light in quick succession.
Pierce County-area driver and Redditor /u/Iniquite shared headshaking dashcam footage from this busy South Hill intersection from earlier in April (April 4, 2026) to the /r/idiotsincars subreddit, showing car after car, in quick succession, running a red turn arrow well after it already turned, informing them they must stop.
Check out the dashcam footage below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
As mentioned, the incident happened at the intersection of Meridian E and Sunrise E Blvd (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is stopped at the aforementioned intersection, headed southbound on Meridian E towards Graham.
He gets the green to go and, off the bat, three vehicles are still in the intersection, meaning they ran a red arrow to still be there.
Signals turn yellow, and then red for a couple of seconds before cross traffic gets the green to allow vehicles with the right of way clear passage.
If that wasn’t bad enough, three more vehicles follow the first three cars.
In total, six vehicles all played ignorant, followed the leader, and ran a red.
“All of Meridian sucks. I avoid the Puyallup South Hill as much as possible. WA drivers suck bad enough,” one of the top comments from /u/stupidinternetname reads.
“Lmao, OP gives zero f***s. Even almost gets tagged by the tractor cab and doesn’t flinch,” /u/n0t_4_thr0w4w4y added.
“more proof that LAGGING LEFT TURN ARROWS are the way!…..lobby your city councilmen and traffic engineers…..reduces crashes significantly,” /u/Fun_Telephone_1165 suggested.
In South Hill, WA, a red light violation typically costs about $124–$145 before fees. With court costs or administrative fees added, the total is usually around $145–$180 depending on the specific ticket type and processing. It’s a civil infraction, so it usually doesn’t add points to your license or go on your driving record, but ignoring it can lead to additional penalties or registration holds.
