This ignorant Mercedes driver couldn’t be bothered with stopping for a construction flagger, even though it’s for their own good.
Delaware County-area driver and Redditor /u/HDT5010 shared headshaking dashcam footage from just outside downtown Media showing from earlier in August (Aug 5, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing an ignorant Mercedes driving decide the instruction of a construction flagger was too good for them, brute-forcing their way down Baltimore Ave to their own detriment.

The incident occurred in the 400 block of W Baltimore Ave near the intersection with Brooke (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is driving eastbound down Baltimore Ave towards the 475.
Road construction has partially closed a westbound lane, necessitating flaggers to direct traffic up and down part of Baltimore Ave.
OP gets the green from the flagger to proceed with caution, which means opposing traffic is now facing a stop.
This Mercedes driver ignores this, as they can be seen ignoring the construction flagger and heading head-on towards OP anyway.
OP uses his vehicle’s off-roading capabilities to hop a curb to avoid a collision.
Thankfully, neither of them comes close to hitting; however, it was quite an avoidable and unnecessary situation.

“Don’t you understand they drive a midrange Mercedes SUV, clearly wherever they were going was more important than the safety of everyone else, the road laws, or the poor flagger who almost became a hood ornament,” /u/SuperBry sarcastically added.
