Houston-area driver and Redditor /u/DaBestaTesta shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier at the end of August (Aug 30, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a super late red light runner almost t-boning him hard as he made his way onto Clay from Country Spring Rd.

As mentioned, the incident happened at the intersection of Clay Rd. and Country Spring Rd. (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the footage shows, OP is stopped at the entrance to Country Spring, with him and another driver facing a red light.
They get the green to go, with the driver in the white Corolla safely making it across.
Just as he’s about to cross westbound traffic, a driver in a white Ford Escape comes blazing past him, running a super late red light by several seconds at that point.
Thankfully, OP had the presence of mind and attention to spot the goofball and to emergency brake in time, or, as he dubbed it, and rightfully so, “Ultra instinct levels of braking on my part.”
