A Dad was trying to teach his son how to drive when two goofballs threw unexpected curveballs their way, using the worst driving techniques.

Allegheny County-area driver and Redditor /u/MBall80 shared head-shaking dashcam footage from this Allison Park intersection from earlier in September (Sept 5, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit, showing an absolute pair of goofballs making the worst driving maneuvers right in front of his son.

Check out the poor display of driving below, with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened at the intersection of Peebles Rd and Duncan Ave. (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is headed southbound on Peebles and is ready to turn right onto Duncan.

10 seconds in, a goofball in their Hyundai comes blazing past on the right, hugging the shoulder and going straight through.

If that wasn’t bad enough, 30 seconds later, another doofus heads straight for OP’s son, into oncoming traffic towards the Large Plain Pizza and Pints Parking Lot.

“I guess he couldn’t wait to get his pizza. He drove 30 feet down the wrong side of the road to pull into the lot. People suck!” OP replied to one of the top comments.

“Those are amazing teaching lessons. The only way they could be better is if they caused an accident. Either way, it’s definitely a “Don’t do THAT!” moment,” /u/jperkins79 added.

“It’s stuff like this that’s why my 15-year-old refuses to drive,” /u/capntail shared.

For Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, the penalties for what happened are as follows,

Driving/passing on the shoulder: typically charged as improper passing under §3304, which carries 3 points and a $25 base fine, plus costs. (Justia Law)

Driving head-on into oncoming traffic: if charged as failure to yield half of the roadway (§3302), it’s 3 points and a $25 base fine; depending on exactly what happened, improper passing or reckless driving could also be charged. (legis.state.pa.us)
