This doofus said the rules of the road don’t apply to them, so they turned against a red light just because they could.

Duval County-area driver and Redditor /u/Timberfront73 shared head-shaking dashcam footage from this busy intersection off of Collins from earlier in September (Sept 9, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit, showing a driver, fresh off the 295, bum rushing his way onto Collins against a red light just because they could.

Check out the brodozer entitlement below, with the original Reddit thread linked here.

As mentioned, the incident happened at the intersection of Collins Rd and the 295 off-ramp (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is stopped in a left-turn lane on Collins against a green, yielding to cross traffic.

Suddenly, to his right, a driver in a white GMC Sierra, waiting with other traffic fresh off the 295 Beltway, decides the red is not for them and, eyeing a gap in cross traffic, turns anyway.

He’s likely done this many times before, seeing how good he’s gotten.

Regardless, it’s a reckless move that could’ve resulted in one expensive collision.

“Late for his appointment of tailgating a grandma in a grocery store parking lot,” one of the top comments from /u/salaciousbcumblin reads.

“Perfectly understandable. If you look closely, you’ll see that the trailer that passes by right before the truck runs the red says “follow me for free p***s enlargement,” /u/ennuiui humorously added.

“Entitled pr**k,” /u/Babooman584 aptly put it.

In Jacksonville, Florida, running a red light is generally a $158 civil traffic fine and 4 points on your Florida driving record. If the violation is captured by a red-light camera, the initial notice is generally $158 and no points, unless it proceeds to a traffic citation.
