This driver in a Blue Subaru didn’t get the memo that the left lane is only for passing and got butt hurt when someone passed them.

A New Haven County-area driver and Redditor /u/CreepyRedditAdmin shared head-shaking dashcam footage from I-95 from earlier in September (Sept 20, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit, showing a driver in a blue Subaru WRX caught camping in the left lane who resorted to quasi-retaliatory road rage after OP overtook them.

Check out their Karen-on-the-road move below, with the original Reddit thread linked here.

As mentioned, the incident happened on I-95 just before Exit 59 onto Goose Lane (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is going east on I-95 towards Guilford.

In front of him in the left lane is a driver in a blue Subaru WRX Sedan who is not actively passing.

Yes, CT does have left-lane laws which “require drivers to keep right except when over”when overtaking slower traffic, moving left to allow traffic to merge, or preparing for a left exit.”

OP overtakes them on the right before changing lanes in front of the Subaru.

The Subaru driver gets offended and re-overtakes OP before putting on his brakes because their road rage got them to almost rear-end another driver in front of them.

“It’s exhausting how many people think that passing them is a personal offense,” the top comment from /u/AbbertDabbert reads.

“Sorry, blue car, I just have IBS and had to s*** sooooo bad (actually true about the situation,” OP honestly replied.

“If you don’t want people passing you on the right…don’t camp in the left lane. Why are people like this?,” /u/sm753 asked.

As of September 2026, Connecticut’s left-lane restriction carries an $88 fine; the new all-driver restriction takes effect October 1, 2026. (cga.ct.gov) It is an infraction and carries no license points. (cga.ct.gov)
