This man-child was so in a rush to pass two drivers going the speed limit that he had time to brake-check them.
An LA-area driver and Redditor /u/Admirable_Cow4327 shared head-shaking dashcam footage from near Granada Hills South from earlier in September (Sept 20, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit, showing a doofus in his C8 Corvette road raging back at two drivers who claim (at least one of them) they were just driving along at the speed limit.
Here’s the road rage incident below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incident happened along the 10000 block of Devonshire St and past the Woodley Ave intersection (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is headed west through Devonshire St.
The speed limit in the area is 40 MPH.
According to OP, he and another driver next to him were going the speed limit, the aforementioned 40 MPH.
It seems a driver in a much faster car, a C8 Corvette (Plate 9YIU737), wasn’t having it.

By the way he was driving, you’d think he was in a hurry, but not so, as he had plenty of time to road rage.
“This maniac was upset that the car next to me and I were going the speed limit. He decided that the answer was to brake-check both of us and throw his hand out the window like someone did something to him. Next time I’ll likely just pull over,” OP shared in his caption.
‘I’ve seen enough lunatics with guns driving that I just pull off to a side road when people start acting up,” one of the top comments from /u/Shred_Kid reads.
“It’s rarely about being in a hurry to get somewhere with these folks. It’s about control. And you can usually see it in other parts of their life as well…,” /u/BiffNicholson commented, providing useful Psychological insight.
“They don’t want you to be in front of them in traffic; that means you win and they lose if you do anything that perturbs them, they’ll do something like this: rip up on you, brake check you. Which, of course, wastes time, but like I said, it’s not about time. It’s about them trying to control the situation.”
In Los Angeles/California, road-rage brake-checking could be charged as reckless driving (CVC §23103) if the conduct was willful or wanton disregard for safety; a first conviction carries 2 DMV points, and the base fine is up to $1,000 (with additional assessments potentially making the actual amount substantially higher). If it were charged only as an ordinary unsafe-driving infraction rather than reckless driving, it would generally be 1 point, with the fine depending on the specific Vehicle Code section. (LegInfo)
