A so-called Good Samaritan, or “nice-hole,” didn’t help anyone when they opened a gap, letting this illegal U-turn happen in front of them.

Fulton County-area driver and Redditor /u/ScallywagBeowulf shared head-shaking dashcam footage from Alpharetta from earlier in September (Sept 23, 2026) to the /r/Dashcam subreddit, showing a goofball driver busting a no-look illegal U-turn, almost resulting in them getting T-boned.

Here’s how it went down below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened in the 2000 block of Kimball Bridge Rd just before the intersection with North Point Pkwy (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is headed northbound on Kimball Bridge towards the 19.

As he approaches the intersection with North Point, keen eyes will notice a driver in the rightmost turn lane has stopped to let a U-turner, initially headed south, illegally brute-force their way over two double solid yellow lines.

This U-turner, with no clear view of cross traffic, is now doing a no-look U-turn, which nearly turns disastrous as, with OP fast approaching, he nearly T-bones the goofball driver.

Thankfully, OP honks and slows in time, avoiding what would’ve been one disastrous hit.

“The wave of death strikes again, /u/appa-ate-momo pointed out, commenting on the red car stopping to let the u-turner in.

“That red car decided it was more important to be “nice’ than to be predictable and almost caused a multi-car incident.”

“In his defense, there’s no way he could have seen you through all those cars blocking his view. /s,” /u/DougWebbNJ sarcastically added.

In Alpharetta, Georgia, an improper U-turn under O.C.G.A. § 40-6-121 is 3 points on a Georgia license. (Georgia Department of Driver Services) A likely fine is around $150–$200; comparable Georgia municipal courts list $150–$200 for this offense, although Alpharetta’s exact court-assessed amount can vary.
