This new driver failed to yield the right of way coming out of CVS and paid dearly.

McCracken County-area driver and Redditor /u/thecopps shared head-shaking dashcam footage from US Route 45 from earlier in September (Sept 12, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit, showing a new driver’s no-look merge mistake that ended in one massive accident.

Check out her c**k up below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened in the 3000 block of Lone Oak Rd (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is generally headed southwest on Lone Oak/US-45 towards St. Johns.

As he approaches the driveway to CVS, a driver in a black SUV can be seen exiting wide; however, they don’t properly look, setting themselves up on a collision course with traffic with the right of way.

A driver in the leftmost lane tries to swerve out of the way but their front passenger tire meets the front driver’s tire of the SUV, momentarily sending their car flying into the air on two wheels.

The driver who got hit couldn’t help but roll into another car, resulting in another driver getting roped into this young driver’s shenanigans.

” I think she was a young driver. Fortunately, everyone seemed OK,” OP clarified in the comments.

“One idiot damages three cars. I hope you stayed and gave those people that dashcam video. That SUV deserves to pay for the damages to all three cars!,” one of the top comments from /u/AL13N1NV8D3R reads.

“Yes, I did, I didn’t want insurance trying to give the white car any trouble for hitting the other 2 vehicles,” OP replied.

In Kentucky, a wide/improper turn that causes a collision would commonly be cited as Improper Turn, which carries 3 driver’s-license points. If the accident involved another moving hazardous violation, Kentucky’s point system can assess 6 points for a moving hazardous violation involving an accident. (DRIVE)
