A plain ol’ bad driver exited this BP/Dunkins and turned left when they could really only turn right.
Lake County-area driver and Redditor /u/TheViperKing50 shared head-shaking dashcam footage from earlier in October (Oct 19, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a driver with her head in the clouds absentmindedly heading the wrong way down Hunt Club shortly after exiting this BP gas station.
Here’s her mess-up caught on dashcam below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incident happened in the 34000 block of Hunt Club Dr. near the intersection with Washington St. (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP turns left onto Washington, heading north toward 132.
As he passes the BP/Dunkin Donuts on the other side, he notices a lady driver in her 2000s Honda Civic turning left, the wrong way down Hunt Club.
Keen eyes will notice the center median the lady is hugging is a recent addition, completed sometime this past summer.
Unironically, the median’s main purpose is to prevent such types of maneuvers.
“The raised medians and U-Turn lanes will positively affect the commercial properties at the intersection. Managing the access of the commercial driveways will promote easier and safer ingress and egress of the properties.”
OP can be seen driving past the wrong-way driver; the center median extends at least another 150 meters, ending at Lakeland Church.
‘She’ll figure it out sooner or later,” the top comment from /u/Almost_Pi reads.
“You can see the back of the rectangle “one way” sign, too,” /u/MyGoodDood22 added.
The signs in question, one for either side of the street.

“Legend has it, she’s still going the wrong way down that street…” /u/Informal-Potential58 humorously added.
In Gurnee, Illinois, driving the wrong way down a one-way street can be cited under Illinois Vehicle Code § 11-708, with a typical fine of approximately $164–$250, depending on court costs and local fees. The violation carries 5 points under Illinois’ traffic-violation point system.
