Idiot driver on 60th St decides not to yield while heading onto I-43. Almost crashes head-on with dashcam owner.
Milwaukee County-area driver and Redditor /u/OldDragonThing shared head-shaking dashcam footage from this busy Greenfield intersection from earlier this week (Nov 2, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit, showing an ignorant driver blasting through a red on their way onto I-43, almost causing a crash.
Here’s what that looked like below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incident happened at the intersection of 60th St. and the on-ramp to I-43/I-894 (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is headed north on 60th, ready to turn left onto I-894.
With a solid green arrow and the right of way, OP enters the on-ramp.
Halfway through his turn, a driver in a blue Honda Civic can be seen approaching the corner facing a red light and, instead of pausing to yield, like they’re supposed to, they brute-force their way onto the on-ramp, inches from a headon/side swipe.
Thankfully, OP does their best to emergency brake and swerve out of the way, preventing a crash.
“And they honked at you, the audacity,” one of the top comments from /u/Rocket-Shawk reads.
“Absolutely insane behavior; they also ran the red on the on-ramp,” /u/FlyingHud added.
“Spoiler alert: that person was going to go whether or not there was a ‘right on red’ allowed at that intersection,” /u/rhasp added.
In Wisconsin, a failure to yield the right of way (including during a right turn on red) results in 4 demerit points on your driving record and a civil forfeiture fine typically ranging from $175 to $200 plus court costs and surcharges (though base statutory forfeitures can vary depending on the local municipal ordinance).
