Where do you go when you want to double your horsepower and triple your torque on your Peterbilt semi? Apparently, you go to these guys in Ohio.

There’s nothing more amazing to see and experience in the motoring world when big engines flex their stuff on dynos by putting out big numbers. This latest video from MO Power Enterprises making its rounds on social media from earlier yesterday (Feb 5,2018) is definitely one of those dyno videos that’ll leave your jaw on your desktop keyboard. In the video we get to enjoy one of the rare occasions a semi truck comes in for some proper dyno tuning. When black smoke starts billowing out the exhaust stacks, you know the big power numbers are coming and is around the time you should turn up your speakers. Check out this amazing bit of video for yourself below.

MO Power Enterprises based out of Aurora,Ohio seems to be in the business of truck repair, tuning, and repossession of trucks that drivers fail to make payments on. With a rolling dyno in one of their engine bays, one can only presume they’ve got clients coming in from all over for tuning to get the most power and efficiency out of their diesel engines.

The video gives zero details on what kind of engine is underneath his hood so I’m going to assume its some kind of Cummins Diesel. In stock form, these burly engines made to literally go millions of miles, have large engineering tolerances to take years of driving abuse. Some stock units, typically put out anywhere from around 500 HP and 1700 lb-ft of hauling power torque. Just like a regular engine, some ECU tweaks, perhaps a better turbo, all the proper engine internal upgrades and the right tuner and those numbers can easily double if not triple if it isn’t longevity and reliability you’re going after.

In the video you can see the smoke start pouring out as this diesel engine reaches its redline where it makes most of its power probably around 1,300 and 1,500 rpm. Exhaust gases get so hot towards the end we can see literal sparks and flames shooting out of the exhaust stack. With a redline not as wild as a regular car engine, it’s not shrieking loud but boy there’s a whole lot of energy reaching those massive rear slicks.

I can only imagine what this type of power feels like on the open road.
