This student driver in a Prius crashed into the DMV during her test

The worst case scenario you can do in a driving test is crash through the DMV, which is exactly what this poor student driver did.

Knowing the layout of your car and knowing how to shift into the different driving modes should be a prerequisite before you even turn the key. This student driver learned that the hard way. According to Fox 61 on their report on a Connecticut crash earlier today (Apr. 4,2018) this student driver immediately failed her driving test when she accidentally punched the accelerator with her Prius in reverse when she thought she was hitting the brakes. As a result, the student driver literally plowed through the DMV’s glass window and it was all caught on CCTV. Check out the video for yourself below.

You’ll be glad to know that no one was seriously hurt or injured. Fox 61 reports that only two minor injuries were reported with one person headed to the local hospital. The only serious damage done, unfortunately, was to the building and the car itself. Although, if you look at a couple of photos at the scene of the crash, it looks like the Prius got out of the mess largely unscathed as well.

In the video I posted above, you can see what looks like a regular scene from any DMV around the country, people standing in line waiting their turn. Then, all of a sudden, a Toyota Prius drives through the DMV window, scaring pretty much everyone in line. If you look closely you can see one of the closest people to the Prius run for his life, which is natural when a wild Prius is trying to run you down.

Two points to this story that made me laugh was that one of the first people to rush to the scene of the crash was the building landlord because of course he would. The other point was that although there was a literal gaping hole in the side of the building,

There were no interruptions to DMV services.

Leave it up to the DMV to keep things rolling despite a car through your building.
