Arguably one of the most Toyota Drift chassis that isn’t a Toyota AE-86 is coming to FR Legends.

Right now, FR Legends has only a handful of cars available to drift including the Altezza IS300, Nissan S13, Toyota AE-86, and GT-86, all excellent drift platforms and it looks like FR Legends is getting one more. As per FR Legends on their official Instagram earlier last week (Oct. 19,2018) the creators are readying a Toyota Chaser JZX100, one of the most common and popular drift platforms currently ripping it in Japan. Check out a rendering of what a completed build could look like.

Earlier last week I wrote about the amazing reason that you can’t tune the rear camber on an AE-86 because like a stock AR-86, the stock camber is not adjustable. So, expect this Toyota Chaser JZX100 will be as close to the real thing as possible.

But, if you know anything about the Toyota Chaser JZX 100 you’ll know that, despite what it’s large size might suggest, it’s extremely tunable. First, its RWD, which is a prerequisite for drifting. Here’s former FD USA Champ Daigo Saito getting loose in his JZX100.

And, like most RWD vehicles of the lates 90’s from Toyota, there’s a barn-burner of an engine lurking underneath the hood. As the name suggests, Toyota stuffed its 1ZJ- GTE, a single turbo engine also found in the third-gen Toyota Supra. Stock, this Supra motor made 280 HP and 280 lb-ft, which is underrated according to most Toyota enthusiasts. The true power rating hovers around 300 HP and above. With a bit of tuning and 400 HP is as common as it is a reliable amount of power.

The chassis, as mentioned, is extremely tunable with this Toyota known for its extreme steering angles, a must-have for any decent drift build. Expect the Toyota Chaser JZX 100 to be extremely chuckable.

Although we’re getting a new car, most people are still harping on comments on FR Legends social media feeds when the game is coming to Android, which they already mentioned is at the end of the month so, hold your horses, folks.

For now, let’s welcome a new chassis which should hopefully drop with the next game update.
