Seeing the Cybertruck out in the wild makes it look so out of place in a sea of lookalike crossovers.

There’s no denying what Twitter user @CodySimms saw near Los Angeles International Airport. With literal angular sides, simple geometric design and something out of the year 3,000, Cody spotted the Tesla Cybertruck.

Check out his tweet below.

In front of the Cybertruck was a Tesla Model 3 and presumably another Tesla behind out of shot.

This is not the first time this truck’s been seen silently roaming around in the wild, since it’s debut a little over a week ago someone in Tesla is keen to get some real world city mileage on this rolling prototype as soon as possible.

Andre Smirnov over at TFLTruck noticed something that Twitter didn’t catch.

There is also something new. This Cybertruck is showing off a standard-looking two-inch towing hitch underneath its rear bumper. It appears to be ready to tow, but no trailer was seen.

This is a big deal because, as the name suggests, this Cybertruck should be a capable work vehicle. Depending on what motor you get, you should be able to tow 7,500 pounds for the single motor RWD, 10,000 pounds with the dual motor AWD, and up to a whopping 14,000 pounds for the tri motor AWD.

Those towing credentials put this electric truck up there with some serious, heavy-duty two rigs.

All that low-end torque from the get-go further adds to the potential these Cybertrucks have.

Capabilities aside, as mentioned, the looks are going to need some getting used to.

Here are some of my favorite replies to Cody’s photo.

Would you buy a CyberTruck do so some serious towing? I hope journalists put its capabilities to the test soon.
