The TikToker just happened to run into number 46 as he drove through the NAIAS in an electric Cadillac
President Biden delivered remarks during the 2022 North American International Auto Show and, despite a busy schedule of shaking hands with Big 3 execs and touring electric cars, Biden’s PR team carved out some time for younger influencers like Daniel McDonald aka @ItsDanielMac, the “What do you do for a living?” guy, to meet the POTUS face-to-face.
Not only did Mac meet 46th himself, but he also filmed a whole one-take of his famous vid series.
So ya, he really did ask the POTUS, “What he does for a living.”

“What do you do for a living?,” Mac asks.
“Well,” Joe Biden responds. “I’m married to Jill Biden and I make sure we’re making a lot more electric vehicles in America.”
“What kind of car is that?” Mac asks.
“It’s a Cadillac,” Biden answers. “…and it’s quick. If you want to get in the back and come and ride with me, but I’m going all the way to Washington.”
Mac, of course, was absolutely stunned at what just happened.
“I just met the President. Let’s go!” Mac says as he ends his video.
Within less than an hour of Mac’s TikTok (not to mention his Youtube) going live, already racked up 2,600 comments, 181, 000+ likes and an astonishing 1 million views.
It’s safe to say Mac’s video is going viral, an otherwise slam dunk for Biden and his PR team.
Literally millions of Gen Zers will not only know Biden’s pro-Electric, but they also get a quick look at Cadillac’s newest electric SUV, which, is exactly the entire point of the collab.
The electric Cadillac Biden is driving, if you’re wondering, is a 2023 Cadillac LYRIQ, an all-electric luxury SUV that starts out at $69,000, has the equivalent of 500 HP with the optional dual-motors, and has an estimated 312 miles of range with a single RWD motor.
