Socal resident and Redditor /u/learnthaimoderator shared shocking dashcam footage to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing the unbelievable moment an absolute madman in a 2015 Ford Mustang zooms past him going at least 120 MPH.

The fly by took place on the 805 in San Diego before Exit 22 Clairemont Mesa Blvd (exact location on Google maps linked here) at around 1:40 PM.
As OP’s video shows, he’s travelling in lane #4 when he signals and changes lanes.
The speed limit on the 805 is a reasonable 65 MPH.
While he’s changing lane, you can faintly hear the hum of the Mustang’s exhaust as it fast approaches.
All of a sudden the Mustang flies by them going at least twice the legal speed limit, passing cars as if they were standing still.
“Whoa!,” he exclaims.
As mentioned, OP made sure to point out the Mustang’s license plate number for reference and for legal reasons, as certainly this isn’t he Mustang driver’s first high-speed rodeo.
The plate number reads 9GHT067.
If you thought that was impressive, another Redditor not only provided the exact year, make, and model, but how many previous owners this pony car had.

According to My Traffic Guys, speeding over 100 MPH is a violation of VC 22348(b.)
“The punishment for speeding over 100 mph is the most severe punishment on a speeding ticket and includes a fine of $1,310, it would be two points on your driving record, a 30-day license suspension, and depending on which court your ticket is in you may also have to do an in person 16 hour traffic school which does not hide the points.”
Ouch.
There’s blasting down a deserted, one way road in the outskirts of Clark County, NV, but this, triple digits speeds in the middle of the afternoon in traffic, is grounds for severe punishment.
Hopefully he gets caught, and this blog post with this dashcam footage and license plate number will make that happen sooner rather than later.
