“Good weather brings out the idiot riders in CT.”

Presumed Connecticut resident and Redditor /u/YOGURT___ihateyogurt shared surprising dashcam footage from yesterday (Jan 8, 2024) in Woodbury, CT to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing the moment a motorcycle rider blew through a red light at what had to be at least 100 MPH.

Check out the dashcam footage for yourself below.

The incident occurred on US Route 6 at the intersection with Middle Quarter Rd (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As OP’s dashcam footage shows, he’s casually driving along US Route 6 on what looks like a warm and sunny Winter day.

“This occurred to me just now in Woodbury, CT. I saw a lot of bikers out today, with the nice weather, but geez this guy is asking for a very bad ending.

All of a sudden, a solo motorcyclist zooms by him on his left at what had to be triple digit speeds.

With no signs of slowing, the motorcyclist blows through the red light.

OP leans on his horn in a futile effort to warn motorists up ahead.

“My immediate thought and delayed reaction was “alert vehicles in the intersection”. Kinda late and useless, lol, but that’s what my head went to.”

These organ donors are everywhere, not just CT. You got to look at it this way, though. Without them, people who actually need a liver or heart or lungs or anything else that can be donated would not be getting them. I’m actually kind of happy that there are volunteers on the road all the time, lol. Also yea, f*** this guy,” /u/MimzyBreathe morbidly, but realistically commented.

“What an idiot. Like riding a motorcycle correctly isn’t already dangerous enough,” /u/BeepBlipBlapBLoop added, saying what everyone else is thinking.

In Connecticut, going over 85 MPH when speeding is considered reckless speeding and, for first time offenders, carries a fine up to $300 before fees and/or 30 days jail time.
