Traffic cannot go straight across four lanes here, but he did it anyway.

St. Charles County commuter and Redditor /u/CheddarMan_ shared headshaking dashcam footage from Highway K from earlier in December (Dec 21, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a driver pulling off an illegal driving maneuver and being so smug about it, too.

Check out the dashcam footage embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened near the intersection of Highway K and State Route N as traffic exits the nearby O’Fallon Crossing Shopping Center near Walgreens (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is on Highway K just past the intersection with State Route N.

As he approaches a driveway into O’Fallon Crossing Shopping Center, a driver in a blue Chevrolet Impala is brute-forcing his way into a left turn despite signage and the driveway design itself not allowing left turns to begin with.

Here’s the Impala driver’s POV prior to him pulling across onto Highway K.

No left turns allowed here.

With all 17 feet of his Chevrolet now blocking at least one of the three lanes of traffic headed north, the Impala driver has the nerve to display a universally understood obscene gesture not once, but twice, before completing their illegal driving maneuver.

All the while, OP showed their disapproval with a heavy heap of honking in their direction.

“The idiot got embarrassed for sure,” the top comment from /u/NaturalSelecty reads.

“Angry at themselves for doing that and flipping you off is a quick and easy re-validation of self……..jeez, flipping you off is so nothing-burger these days……old, tired, childish gesture…….is that the best you got?!,” /u/Fun_Telephone_1165 added.

“It’s always a last-gen Impala,” /u/SomethingIWontRegret threw in.

In Missouri, illegal or improper turns (including prohibited U‑turns) are moving violations that generally result in 2 points on your driving record. You will also usually owe a fine ranging from around $60–$225 depending on the city and court handling the citation. (missourilegal.com)
