This Clark County driver did their best to avoid a wrong-way driver caught on dashcam speeding down Charleston Blvd.
Clark County driver and Redditor /u/imlazyplshelp shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier in April (Apr 8, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a wrong-way driver speeding down the rightmost lane of Charleston Blvd.
Check out the embedded dashcam video below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incident happened in the 7000 block of W Charleston Blvd, between the Vitalant Blood Donation Center and the Logan Apartments (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is headed eastbound on W Charleston Blvd towards S Rainbow Blvd in the leftmost lane when he sees the front bumper of a Toyota Corolla approaching, going against traffic in the rightmost lane.
Traffic next to him can be seen slowing, trying their best to avoid this lunatic.
Thankfully, at least at that moment and in the immediate area, drivers avoided crashing into this clueless driver.
“I will say the lack of road lines literally anywhere is such a wild idea. I’ve been to 34 states and 4 other countries and only saw this in Vegas,” one of the top comments from /u/GenTenStation reads, pointing out how there are no visible road markings.
“I was all ready for you to get cut off, too! Was not expecting that,” /u/hobosbindle added.
“This happened to me 2 weeks ago. I was on the strip, turning left at Spring Mountain. The truck in front of me turned into the oncoming traffic lane. 3 am. Ridiculous,” local /u/VegasBornLori shared.
If a driver goes the wrong way by accident in Clark County, it’s usually treated as a traffic infraction like “failure to obey a traffic control device” or “wrong way on a one-way,” not reckless driving. That typically carries about a $100–$300 fine range plus court fees, depending on the exact citation. In most cases, it results in around 2–4 DMV demerit points, and it’s not considered reckless unless there’s clear danger or willful behavior.
