Please take this ad as tongue in cheek but KIA just legit compared the KIA Forte sedan to a Lamborghini Aventador.
What if I told you that compared to the Lamborghini Aventador the KIA Forte is a much better car. According to this KIA ad that some bright-eyed people at Hyundai-KIA USA dropped earlier today (Jan 17, 2018) if you compare the KIA Forte’s trunk space, seating capacity along with a few other features, yes the KIA Forte sedan absolutely beats the Lamborghini Aventador. Check out the ad for yourself below and please understand that you need to take that proverbial giant grain of salt if you want to appreciate it.

Right off the bat KIA hits us with a bit of a tall tale that there’s been a supposed rivarly between the KIA Forte sedan and the Lamborghini Aventador. OK, we’ll play along KIA.
First off there are the doors. The Aventador doors go up while the Forte’s doors swing open, which is much more convenient. But is it as cool KIA…is it as cool?
On a pure numbers basis, Forte has two more doors so I guess it’s two to zero.
Next, KIA points out that the Forte has more trunk space than the Aventador, which is true. I’m surprised you can fit anything in that Lamborghini trunk, to begin with.
Inside, the KIA Forte does have a touchscreen display, wireless charging, and 10-way adjustable seats while the Aventador has none of those things. Honestly, at this point, a small part of me does think, “What the h*** Lamborghini, you seriously need to bring your A-game when it comes to the little things.”
Seating? KIA Forte wins this round with three more seats than the Aventador.
Finally, KIA does concede that the KIA Forte is a bit slower than the Aventador. A bit? More like a country mile. The KIA Forte is good for 147 HP and 132 lb-ft from its naturally aspirated 2.0L engine. The Aventador, on the other hand, packs 690 HP and 509 lb-ft from its monstrous V12. As far as car enthusiasts go, that’s game, set, match.
Hats off to KIA for making me, if but for a few minutes, associate their Forte econobox with an exotic.
