This Acura RSX owner decided that a boosted K-series wasn’t enough and threw in the rear diff from a Honda CR-V’s Realtime AWD unit to turn this sporty FWD canyon carver into one badass sleeper.

According to Facebook user Pedroski Barreda, he’s got an AWD Acura RSX pretty much buttoned up, ready to roast some tires, and he’s got the video from underneath his ride to prove it.

Is the above video down? I got your back here.

Your eyes do not deceive you, as you can see in the video posted above, not only is power going to the fronts, it’s being routed through the rears as well.

Ever since Honda CR-V’s have been around, they’ve been donating their rear subframe assemblies including their driveshafts to enthusiasts turning FWD cars into AWD street monsters.Although details are scant on this build at the moment, presumably, that’s what happened in this case.

With my very limited knowledge of these builds and with how Honda’s Realtime AWD system works, I’m guessing they’ve welded the rear diff out back to make sure power is being split 50:50 at all time. Word is the weak link is oftentimes the transfer case so you’d better have dabbled in some serious fab work if you want this setup to work.

Here’s what the engine work from under the hood looks like.

With this K-series engine boosted and now with power going to all four half-shafts instead of two, I reckon this guy’s going for 400-500 HP to the wheels.

And if you’re wondering why someone would do such a thing to a pristine chassis like the RSX, last week I wrote about how THIS AWD Acura Integra was straight slaying some GT-R’s on the street. These AWD Honda’s absolutely scoot!

Here’s a couple of video’s I scrounged off of YouTube showing you just how deadly these AWD Honda’s are.

When set up correctly, anyone lining up against these one-offs better have their forks ready because they’ll be getting one giant slice of humble pie. That is if nothing breaks underneath.
