Who throws tomato slices? Honestly.

Bellingham commuter and Redditor /u/Future-Warning7383 shared headshaking dashcam footage from a busy intersection from earlier in February (Feb 19, 2025) showing a teenage bro up to no good hurl a tomato slice out the driver’s side window right at OP’s windshield.

Check out the frustrating but admittedly humous dashcam video embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened at the intersection of Barkley Blvd and E Sunset Dr. in Bellingham (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As OP’s dashcam footage shows, he’s literally minding his own business at the aforementioned intersection when, for no apparent reason, a tomato slice comes flying through the air, hitting his windshield.

On closer inspection, the vegetable slice came from a car kitty corner to where he was.

Payback for road rage? Someone he knows? None of the above.

“That’s the funny part. I can’t think of anything that happened lol. It was a car of teenage boys so I assume they were trying to be funny,” OP clarified.

“What is this medieval times? Just throwing tomatoes at people?” /u/Gkamkoff wondered.

“He could have at least thrown some fries your way,” /u/Minimum-Zucchini-732 hilariously added.

“Right? Give me some fries and sauce at least,” OP responded.

As harmless as it looked, it is technically littering.

In Washington, litterers on the highway are subject to a $231 fine before fees.

Fines can go up to $1,000+ depending on how potentially dangerous, like a cigarette butt, the litter is.

Bellingham is a bit more lenient on litterers tossing anything less than a cubic foot in total. Violators are subject to a fine not exceeding $50.

With the iniquity of trashcans, you have no good excuse to litter.

It’s not only a bad habit, it’s a potentially road rage-inducing one, too.

I don’t have to tell you how even the smallest slight can set off a chain reaction that may lead to one tragic ending.
