This driver, approaching a gentle bend on E Euclid Rd, wasn’t paying attention, lands his tires into side of the road, loses traction, and spins 180 degrees.

Yakima County driver and Redditor /u/IHaineCross shared head-shaking dashcam footage from earlier in February (Feb 3, 2026) to the /r/Roadcam subreddit, showing a distracted driver not paying attention to the gentle curve on E Euclid Rd, causing two of his tires to slip into the dirt and ultimately causing him to lose control.

Check out how it all played out in the dashcam below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened on E Euclid Rd just before drivers crossed the Yakima River (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is on Euclid, headed westbound towards Mabton.

Just as heads right, continuing on Euclid, a driver in a red Chevrolet Aveo sedan can be seen coming towards him, but not taking into account the road’s gentle bend.

They course correct too late when one side of their Aveo’s already in the dirt, causing them to spin a full 180 degrees before coming to a dust-filled stop.

“This happened back in February of this year and honestly, seeing this now, if my hubby had taken his time with the left turn (right before this clip starts) then we would have been in a car wreck for sure. Absolutely wild haha. So be careful out there y’all 👀,” OP’s caption reads.

“I don’t even think the red car was going too fast, it looks like it went off the road and lost traction in the dirt. That’s just poor driving,” the top comment from /u/Thanks_Ollie reads.

“Probably texting while driving,” /u/Bombero_911 hypothesized.

In Washington, “not paying attention” and spinning out on a curve could be cited as second-degree negligent driving, which carries about a $250 base fine, though total court costs can make it higher. It’s generally treated as a traffic infraction rather than a crime. Washington doesn’t use a traditional driver’s license point system, but the violation can still affect insurance rates and your driving record. (law.justia.com)
